THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN), Position Description Number D2583000 and is part of the CO JFHQ G6, National Guard.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide management oversight and guidance on information technology projects.
Duties
Serves as primary point of contact for all project teams regarding on-going technical projects. Implements corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the development of the projects and intermediate products in support of the mission. Within this portfolio, integrates IM/IT project scope and criteria, schedules and milestones, budgets, and responsibilities of the participating parties, assumptions and risks, contingencies, and performance measurement criteria. Supports programming decisions affecting assigned projects. Analyzes information systems requirements or environment. Integrates the planning, design, implementation, etc., for multiple IM/IT projects of considerable scope and complexity as measured by their program authorizations, diversity, geographical area, management demands, technical intricacies, and various customers. Monitors and reports on IM/IT portfolio and project milestones and budgets from preliminary assessments, full integration, and through to initial operations. Recommends courses of action and allocation of funds, consistent with progress attained, and measures and monitors performance to assure commitments of all parties are being maintained. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Must be a current GS-2210-11 Permanent Dual Status Federal Technician within the CO-JFHQ G-6.
- Submit all required documentation.
- Must hold the grade of E-7 thru O-3.
Qualifications
Military Grades: E-7 thru O-3
1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position.
2. An applicant's RESUME must provide, in detail, how they meet each specialized experience listed below.
3. It must be documented with "from (mm/yy)" and "to (mm/yy)" dates and description of the specialized experience.
4. If education or a degree is required as part of the "Specialized Experience", you must include transcripts.

You will be immediately disqualified if you fail to include specialized experience in your resume.
Must have at least 36 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following:
1. Experience that approaches techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization.
2. Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls.
3. Experience that required adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment.
4. Experience preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies where is involved summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion.
Education
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience - For the GS-5 level, a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the experience requirements. At the GS-7 level, one full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement. At the GS-9 level, a masters or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree may be substituted. At the GS-11 level, a Ph.D. or equivalent, or 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.
