Duties

This position is responsible for providing technical supply support related duties and supply operations support pertaining to specialized or unique supplies and equipment. To include office automation systems and functions such as word processing, database management, spreadsheet generation and maintenance, and electronic mail (e-mail) software.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • The position requires a valid state driver's license.
  • This position requires a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • This position requires a Fork Lift License.
  • This positioin requires the ability to lift items up to 75lbs.

Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-07:  Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 level (in the federal sector). Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of Specialized Experience:  Utilizing supply systems operations to complete records functions in inventory, storage, cataloging, and receipt and control processes; conducting regular inventories of materials stocked; initiating procurement requests to fill required inventory levels; providing information to staff and vendors relative to the procurement, budget and inventory of materials. The ablity to Operate a Forklift. Able to lift items up to 75 pounds. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.  If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule, C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.

Education

This position does not have a positive education requirement. If you are including education on your resume, report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
