The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an AFOSI Senior Analyst and subject matter expert responsible for the analytical direction, oversight, and coordination of AFOSI investigations, operations, targeted collections, and campaign management.

Duties
Execute, manage analytic support, and serve as analytic subject matter expert to worldwide the U.S. Air Force (USAF) counterintelligence (CI), counterterrorism (CT), criminal, program security, cyber assurance, and economic crimes mission for assigned to SECAF priority SAPs.
As assigned Lead Analyst and Subject Matter Expert, ensures compliance with overall AFOSI, DoD, DNI policy and guidance. Executes AFOSI analytical production subject matter expertise duties to provide Air Force and DoD consumers with high quality, timely, and accurate analysis that address CI, CT, Criminal, and Cyber threats affecting Air Force personnel, operations, assets, programs, information and facilities.
Plan, organize, and execute worldwide analytical operations for USAF counterintelligence investigations, collections, and operations as directed by AFMD 39, AFPD 71-1, DoDT 5240.04, DoDD 5240.02, DoDD 5143.01, AFT 71-101, and AFT 71-144. Execute CI analytical operations for all USAF/AFOSI investigations related SAPs. Determine if a full-field CI investigation is required.
Prepares and presents specialized briefings to Air Force, DoD and other government agency officials. May act as the AFOSI representative for counterintelligence analysis issues to Air Force, DoD and other agencies within the Intelligence Community.

- Incumbent must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. While conducting required coordination with AFOSI field units and national-level counterparts, incumbent will frequently be required to travel, by vehicle, throughout CONUS.
- Overtime may be required as workload demands and in some cases with no-notice due to urgency of time-sensitive matters.
- Requires extensive network of contacts throughout the intelligence, counterintelligence, law enforcement, and security communities.
- The incumbent must undergo an internal background investigations by OSI and must be approved for duty by the Commander of OSI or the Commander’s designated representative(s).
Qualifications
This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
To qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements describes in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include a mastery in a facet of multi-source analyst duties and responsibilities. Such as applying the principles, concepts, and methodologies of intelligence analysis and identifying significant intelligence trends and in proposing new or revised analytical projects to alert senior AFOST and Air Force leadership to new developments and to meet customer requirements.Also have mastery level knowledge in US intelligence and counterintelligence community practices in the intelligence field. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Comprehensive skills as an multi-source intelligence analyst to research, interpret, evaluate and integrate data in the production of clear, concise, in-depth intelligence products on counterintelligence issues; coordinating junior analysts' multi-source intelligence analysis conducted in response to customer needs and intelligence production requirements and in communicating related products/information to a variety of audiences.
Mastery in applying knowledge and expertise of counterintelligence issues in the planning, organizing, and leading cooperative and coordinated counterintelligence analysis and collection initiatives.
Comprehensive knowledge and experience as an multi-source intelligence analyst applying the principles, concepts, and methodologies of intelligence analysis and identifying significant intelligence trends and in proposing new or revised analytical projects to alert senior AFOSI and Air Force leadership to new developments and to meet customer requirements.
Experience in the oversight of analytic projects and response to tasking, reviewing analytical products for accuracy and analytical soundness, and providing mentorship to junior analysts in development of analytic judgments, thought processes and drafting intelligence products.
Skill in preparing and presenting clear, concise, effective presentations of complex technical material to senior level audiences using a variety of media tools; demonstrated experience representing an organization and defending organization's position in conferences, working groups and planning sessions.
Skill in accomplishing liaison and coordination with counterpart specialists in the Intelligence Community. Comprehensive knowledge of US intelligence and counterintelligence community policies, entities, missions, resources, operations, capabilities, databases, and requirements to perform intelligence research planning, operations collection, target analysis, and other intelligence collection/analysis related activities.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED:
Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret SAP to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
