You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST of HDQTRS NDW.

Duties

You will answer technical inquiries from employees, supervisors, and managers regarding developmental training opportunities, availability, and eligibility. You will establish and maintain professional contacts for the purpose of training development, consultation, implementation or assessment. You will develop and prepare statistical reports related to training. You will establish and maintain contacts, both within and outside of the organization, to coordinate curriculum related activities or provide authoritative guidance. You will engage in training programs analyses (e.g., training-needs, job-task, competency, selection, commercial-off-the-shelf product, cost-benefit) to determine cost-effective performance improvement solutions.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as principal advisor to the Work Force Center of Excellence Program Managers on issues related to training; 2) Providing consultative services and analytical support to on-going training needs identification, training plan development, and execution of training; 3) Forecasting training needs to develop plans to ensure current and future competencies are obtained and maintained within the workforce; 4) Analyzing training needs to determine course of action to resolve workforce development problems and recommend improved approaches based on organizational needs; and 5) Providing customers with guidance and ensuring proper execution of work in support Training, Education, and Professional Developmental goals.
