The mission of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) is to provide force protection, security, and law enforcement to safeguard personnel, facilities, infrastructure, and other resources for the Pentagon Reservation and designated DoD facilities (hereinafter referred to as "the Pentagon Facilities") within the National Capital Region (NCR).
Duties
Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:
Conducts review of course curriculum and measurement materials submitted by instructional design team.
Design course integration to maximize use of technological programs and processes.
Key advisor to senior leadership by providing experience and subject matter.
Evaluates suggestions and recommends their adoption or rejection to senior leadership.
Maintains appropriate instructor and student training records to ensure all applicable federal regulations and standards are met.
Requirements

- Required to participate in the direct deposit program
- Individuals tentatively selected for drug testing designated positions will be required to submit to urinalysis for illegal drugs prior to appointment and are subjected to random drug testing.
- Position has been designated as Top Security level such as Critical. Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret level.
- The incumbent must adhere to DoD Standards of Conduct
- This position may require you to travel up to 20% occasional travel.
- May be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays and/or overtime.
- This position is designated as a MISSION ESSENTIAL.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- This position requires a security clearance at the Top Secret level.
Qualifications
Time in Grade:
For entry at the GS-12 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in the Federal Service.
Specialized Experience:
For the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized Experience such as: 1) Determining training requirements such as: Curriculum review/development conferences; Training planning working groups; Training standards input; and providing training standards for criminal investigators; 2) Applying law enforcement procedures in developing training materials and/ or courses; and 3) Analyzing training evaluation and training quality reports to determine course validity.
In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position.
