You will serve as a TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (AVIATION MAINTENANCE ADMINISTRATION MANAGEMENT TRAINING (AMAMT)) at the CENTER FOR NAVAL AVIATION AND TRAINING (CNATT) UNIT WHIDBEY ISLAND.
Duties
You will provide formal classroom and laboratory instruction to personnel ion Aviation Maintenance Administration Management Training (AMAMT) utilizing approved course materials, training aids, and other media.
You will maintain liaison with other instructors, contractor technical representatives and aircraft maintenance activities to ensure the current and accuracy of training material as required.
You will participate in student evaluations and academic counseling programs and student advisory boards in accordance with directives.
You will participate in the instructor evaluation program using guidelines found in the current directives.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Instructor Qualifications certification meeting the requirements of a Navy Enlisted Classification Code (NEC) 805A.
- Physical agility and dexterity are required to perform some maintenance and trouble shooting.
- Required to be able to lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Requires long periods of standing.
- Must observe safety precautions while working in and around training devices and equipment.
- Required to climb ladders and work from heights.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Updating and evaluating course curriculum, and performing course revision for aviation maintenance administration courses; 2) Utilizing knowledge of aviation maintenance databases (e.g., Aircraft Weight and Balance, Support Equipment Asset Management, Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activities (OOMA), Organizational Maintenance Activity (OMA) Maintenance Control, Quality Assurance Administration, Financial Management OPTAR, and Aviation Material Control Management) to provide aviation maintenance administration courses of instruction; 3) Evaluating training aids, and equipment, in support of aviation maintenance teaching assignments; 4) Using audio-visual media and training devices to provide courses of instruction for aviation maintenance and; 5) Preparing and administering examinations in accordance with current directives.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related
