This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - ACQC/TRANSPORT PEO.
Duties
Serves as technical authority and lead specialist with responsibility to ensure effective, economical, and advanced technical management of customer networking requirements for assigned systems and applications.
Develops, interprets, plans and applies policy, process, procedure and strategy in the delivery of multi-discipline IT networking services required to achieve data and system integration/interoperability for assigned systems and applications.
Test, install, configure and maintain networks including hardware (servers, hubs, bridges, switches and routers).
Develops technical standards and requirements for the acquisition of network hardware, software and services.
Provides expert technical guidance, interpretation, and implementation oversight of applicable information security policies.
Processes, and practices to ensure continued operational availability and integrity of enterprise applications, systems, networks, and data.
Requirements

- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- This is a drug test position requiring pre-employment and random drug testing.
- This position is subject to Cyber Workforce requirements as defined by the DoD 8140 policy series for the position's required CYBER Work Role(s).
- This position requires a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
- This is a Mission Essential position.

Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in 1. Conducting systems analysis, planning, designing/development, and executes complex automated test system projects. 2. Developing project plans and oversees the implementation of project activities, AND 3. Configuring front-end processors, hubs, switches, and routers for network performance.
