As a Supervisory Interior Designer you will operate in a dual capacity as a regional interior design program expert and a senior project manager handling the most complex space design projects assigned to the staff.Location of position: Pacific Rim Region, Public Building Service, Design & Construction Division, Total Workplace Branch, Los Angeles or San Francisco, CA.
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
Supervisory Duties: Performs the full range of planning, distributing and evaluating work; providing advice, guidance, and mentoring to staff; providing inputs and making recommendations to higher level management on decisions related to promotions, details, reassignments or other personnel actions; addressing discipline, conduct, and performance issues; handling employee complaints and grievances; identifying training and developmental needs for staff; approving leave and performing the full range of administrative work associated with supervision.

The GS-13 salary range in Los Angeles, CA starts at $120,246 per year.
The GS-13 salary range in San Francisco, CA starts at $128,717 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience providing guidance in the development of interior design and workplace policy, providing leadership in the management, direction, guidance and coordination of interior design functions, performing ongoing complex interior design, workplace and related projects. Evaluates work to be accomplished, adjusting long and short-term priorities and preparing schedules for completion of work. Provides advice on both work and administrative matters.
