The primary purpose of this position is to ensure accountability of in-use equipment/Special Purpose Recoverable Authorized Maintenance (SPRAM) and provide management control, oversight, coordination, and implementation of all equipment (SPRAM) accounted for by the 509 Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS) Accountable Officer.
Duties
Manages all equipment items with the exception of vehicles.
Conducts extensive inspections/ inventories of units' supply accounts to determine if supply accounts across the command are properly administered.
Prepares and performs equipment and SPRAM training to supported organizations.
Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with the major command (MAJCOM) Equipment Review Approval Authority, 635 Supply Chain Operations Wing (SCOW), Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center (AFIMSC), supported organizations, and higher headquarters.
Functions as the base Equipment Review Approval Authority in verifying and validating equipment requests in accordance with established Allowance Source Codes (ASC), and completes actions as required for Equipment Authorization Inventory Data (EAID) accounting.
Ensures unit requirements have been categorized as Critical/Important in the Equipment Requirement System (ERS) and has matching requisitions in all automated systems.
Performs supervisory duties: Manages, develops, organizes and directs the work of three military subordinates. Provides effective direction and advice to subordinates.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Clerical and Administration Support Positions, Supply Clerical and Technician Series, 2005.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-06, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions, and an intensive knowledge of local supply requirements to ensure supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for urgent, critical shortage, and other special items. Knowledge of office automation software procedures and function keys to produce a wide range of documents that often require complex formats, such as graphics or tables within text, to edit and reformat electronic drafts, and to update and revise existing databases or spreadsheets. Knowledge of the nature and capability of different software packages and the integration compatibility among different software types. Knowledge of standard office equipment such as electric/electronic typewriters, copiers, fax machines, and office automation systems to perform substantial range of office automation support.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-06 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of equipment management supply regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, and methods.
2. Knowledge of equipment management supply operations to the extent the incumbent has the ability to plan, analyze, and evaluate the effectiveness of the equipment management supply program on an independent basis.
3. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
4. Ability to receive, screen, review and verify equipment management supply documents and resolve discrepancies.
5. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
6. Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material such as regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, TOs, and local policies to accomplish tasks and resolve problems.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
