This National Guard position is for a FINANCIAL SERVICES TECHNICIAN T32, Position Description Number PDD1986000 and is part of the AZ USPFO, National Guard.
Duties
This position is located in the US Property and Fiscal Office (USP&FO) in Phoenix, AZ. The purpose of this position is to provide analysis, validation, processing and correction of financial transactions and issues/problems involving the full range of financial services. Incumbent uses complete understanding of inter-related systems and processes across multiple functional areas and their interoperability to ensure the validity and accuracy of all disbursements, collections, and adjustments related to financial records.

Requirements
- ARIZONA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Army National Guard, in a military organization supported by the USPFO.
- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Incumbent must possess and maintain a current state driver’s license.
- This is a Financial Management Level Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, (cont)

- This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance within 45 days of appointment.
- Members of the financial management workforce must achieve the appropriate certification level for their positions within 2 years of notification of applicable certification requirements or the period of any extension.
Qualifications
Military Grades: SPC/CPL/E4 - SFC/E7
Compatible Military Assignments: Must possess or be able to obtain a 36B or 42A series MOS
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 1 year equivalent to at least next lower grade level fundamental working experiences with a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade. Work that involves performing or supervising financial clerical or financial technician assistance in support of accounting, auditing, budgeting, or financial management functions or fiscal operations. Clerical work involves compiling figures, maintaining records, compiling reports, or performing other procedural work which represents the transactions or business of an organization. Requires a knowledge of the procedures and techniques involved in carrying out the work of an organization and involves application of procedures and practices within the framework of established guidelines. Work may involve various kinds of duties which require applying a practical knowledge of regulations and precedent cases. Requires applying specific procedures and established methods. May perform specialized non-administrative work in preparing data for automated financial systems or may support professionals by writing synopses of audits or financial reports or deciding entitlements against definitive criteria.
