About the Position: Serves as the technical and administrative supervisor over the (Sheet Metal Shop and the Tool and Die Shop) exercising full supervisory responsibility over work operations.

Duties

Recommends changes to schedules, priorities, and work sequences. Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, and plans work assignments. Plans the use of workers, equipment, facilities, materials, and tools. Observes work in progress to anticipate and resolve problems. Tracks and reports progress on work assignments. Provides technical direction and/or help in accomplishing difficult work steps and processes. Inspects completed work for quality and work order requirements. Advises and counsels workers on how to improve their performance and explain new work techniques. Follows customary work cycles and sequences in planning work assignments.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter.
• Incumbent must be able to meet safety and physical requirements.
