About the Position: This position is a Administrative Support Assistant (Office Automation), GS-0303-07, with the Army Tank-Automotive and Armament Command (TACOM), Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD) located in Warren, Michigan.
Duties
Perform a variety of clerical, administrative and technical duties/responsibilities in support of management with the intent of accomplishing the administrative requirements of the directorate.
Participate in the development of Directorate policy in administrative areas by researching prior publications, regulations, and recommending new policies and/or changes.
Receive and log outgoing correspondence, reviewing it for correct format, punctuation, spelling, grammatical accuracy, factual correctness, enclosures, dates, signatures, complete addresses, etc.
Coordinate with other staff organizations on various administrative activities to obtain information for accomplishment of own assignments or to provide to others.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Data Certification Level 1 inputter (DATACL1i) - TACOM DA Level 1 Certification Requirement- The incumbent must meet all requirements for this certification within 12 months of being placed on the position or being notified of the PD update
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Provide administrative support to an organization. AND 2) Maintain data for use in preparation of a variety of reports. AND 3) Review documents, correspondence and forms to ensure accuracy and completeness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Management, or Administrative Studies related to the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
