You will serve as a WORK/LIFE CONSULTANT in the Force Support, Military and Family Readiness Center of NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY ANDERSEN GUAM.
Duties
You will provide information and Family Services to support single and married military personnel, civilian employees, and family members through provision and conduct programs and services that provide information and assistance when necessary.
You will assess needs and provide continuing work/life services to leadership, organizations, and serviced populations within assigned units and the Family Support Center (FSC).
You will develop, implement, and manage installation work/life services programs, establishing goals, objectives, and procedures in accordance with applicable state and DoD, Air Force another federal guidance, regulations, and laws.
You will identify, advice, and consult with leaders on positive sustainable efforts that foster an environment of trust and responsiveness to various organizational work/life issues.
You will design and establish marketing and public relations strategies to ensure target populations are informed of services and activities.
Requirements

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
- May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
- You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience in planning, implementing, and administering personal support programs and services, as well as advising units and their organizations on individual, family, and community issues, including career assistance, transitions, relocations, and work/life services and activities.

Education
Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess:
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
OR
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
OR
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree
or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
