The primary purpose of this position is to function as Chief of Special Technical Operations with corresponding threat analysis. The position is designed to provide operations planning support, technical advice and guidance to the 24 AF Commander in all areas and produce CYBER OPERATIONS threat analysis and recommend courses of action.

Duties
Serve as the 24 AF subject matter expert on cyber operations and planning for joint war fighters.
Conducts the IP/IO collection program by directing, coordinating, reviewing and evaluating IP/IO related activities within the 24 AF community and coordinating those activities with DoD and national-level agencies.
Represents 24 AF as a recognized subject matter expert on the organization, personnel, activities, and capabilities of intelligence entities that pose an IP/IO threat to the USAF.
Establishes and maintains a current series of liaison contacts ,,,ith DoD and national-level agencies as a recognized authority in the field of CYBER OPERATIONS.

- Incumbent is required to undergo a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
- Overtime may be required as workload demands and in some cases with no-notice due to urgency of time sensitive matters. Periodic shift work may be required if assigned as a watch-standing analyst.
- Mobility is a condition of employment. The employee must sign an Air Force-wide mobility agreement.
- Incumbent must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. 'While conducting required coordination with AFNetOps field units and national-level counterparts, incumbent will frequently be required to travel, by vehicle, as necessary.
Qualifications
This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include knowledgeable of the terminologies, methodologies, research, and analytical techniques applied to highly complex assignments in Operations planning and analysis and the ability to apply facts and estimates derived from numerous sources to a variety of problems having difficult technical aspects. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of USAF and DoD Cyber Operations to include all aspects of network warfare including offensive and defensive operations and activities.
Knowledge of US intelligence community policies, entities, m1ss10ns, resources, operations, capabilities, databases, and requirements to perform intelligence research planning, operations collection, target analysis, and other intelligence collection related activities.
Knowledge of STO planning procedures, deliberate and crisis action planning procedures. Anticipate, develop, manage and validate operational requirements and coordinate with COCOM, NAF, and h1AJCOM planners to satisfy objectives.
Skill in producing finished operational rep01is and other products that are responsive to the specific needs of customers to include formulating and conducting original research; collating, organizing, and analyzing infonnation; resolving conflicts; and presenting clear and concise findings. Be able to very succinctly delivery Flag Officer briefings on a regular basis in terms commensurate with the audience receiving the information.
Skill in handling classified data in accordance with established DoD procedures. Knowledge of security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information.
Ability to quickly assimilate disparate data and render knowledgeable and accurate assessments or the implications of such data; to make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure based on mature judgment, experience and recognized professional standing; and to present and argue for a position effectively.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED:
Travel by regularly scheduled commercial or military conveyance in accordance with Joint Travel regulations may be required in performance of temporary duty. Incumbent will occasionally be required on temporary duty throughout the world including to remote locations with limited facilities. These temporary duty assignments could range from short duration to 179 days, and longer. While every effort will be made to schedule these assignments well in advance of the travel, travel may be required with extremely limited notice. It is imperative incumbent have an unlimited ability to perform such travel.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Clearance. This position is designated Special Sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
