About the Position: The position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE), US Army Armor School, 194th Armored Brigade, Ft. Benning, Georgia 31905. The "Maneuver Center of Excellence" is located 100 miles south of Atlanta and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Public transportation and free parking is available.

Duties

Prepare reports and other typed material such as: formal letters, reports, memoranda, tabulated data, charts, rosters and mailing lists for distribution. Provide assistance to inventory officers by compiling items to be inventoried. Post, issue, turn-in and/or validate physical inventory of government property. Maintain the status of equipment in accordance with the table of distribution and allowances (TDA).

OR Education: Two years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of by 60. Add the two percentages. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: AdaptabilityConscientiousnessCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical)Integrity/Honesty Time in Grade Requirement: Advancement to positions up to GS-05 have no time in grade restrictions if the position to be filled is no more than two grades above the lowest grade the employee had held within the preceding 52 weeks.
