About the Position: Supports the administrative and logistical functions of the United States Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) Recruiting Battalion (BN) in the following major areas for Facilities and Fleet Management.
Duties
Identify facility requirements for multiple locations within assigned organization.
Utilize an established checklist to conduct inspections on facilities.
Utilize organizational methods to maintain a fleet of non-tactical motor vehicles.
Advise on all matters pertaining to motor vehicle control to ensure all work is completed within standards.
Produces reports to describe vehicle accidents and misuse.
Input data into an established system to track vehicle and facility maintenance.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The position is subject to occasional temporary duty travel.
- The incumbent/applicant will be required to provide a valid driver's license upon hire.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience Statement: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing existing directives to assist in the management of facilities and/or a motor vehicle fleet; entering data into an established automated system; preparing reports in accordance with procedures; and reviewing maintenance requirements for facilities and/or vehicles within assigned organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
OR
Education: 1 year (18 semester hours) of progressively higher-level graduate education in public administration, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, or other administrative or management fields related to the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
