This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, Office of the Chief of Operations, Superintendent, House Office Buildings, Client Services Division, Labor and Custodial Branch, Day Labor and Custodial section. The individual is a Motor vehicle Operator performing driving and operating duties on a variety of motor vehicles and equipment and also performs routine laboring tasks when not performing driving duties.
Duties
The tour of duty will range from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Hours may change due to Operating Needs of Management
Requirements
- You must be able to pass a drug test.
- Your resume and question responses must demonstrate job-related elements.
- Must possess a Commercial Driver's License with air brake endorsements.
- Must have a current /valid DOT physical card on file with your local MVA.
Qualifications
You must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements by the closing date of the job announcement.You must meet the following SCREEN-OUT(S) required for this position.
Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision.
Must possess a valid, unexpired Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsements.
Must current possess a good driving record. Possession of a good driving record is included in the suitability process. Maintenance thereof is a condition of continued employment. Failure to maintain a good driving record will result in termination. (NOTE. The selected candidate will be required to provide a "certified" copy of their driving record at the time of notification of selection).
Ability to lift, push and pull heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs. or more without assistance.
