Employee will serve as a Tractor Operator within the Grounds Shop located at the Veterans Healthcare System in Columbia, SC.
Qualifications
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK CONDITIONS: The Tractor Operator will often be required to make repairs using great physical effort to lift, pull, push, and carry objects of varying weights, sizes, and shapes. Required to climb, crawl, and bend, and subjected to stand, crouch, and stoop for extended periods of time, as well as lift 50 pounds or more. Required to work inside and outdoors in conditions that will often be dirty, dusty, and greasy; in areas with poor lighting and ventilation; in hot and cold temperatures; and in areas where unpleasant fumes and odors are present. The employee will be exposed to hazardous materials, chemicals, and infectious diseases and will be required to use personal protective equipment.

Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.
