Duties

You will provide timely advice and guidance in translating requirements, cost data, contracts, schedule timelines, etc. into programming and budgetary products. You will perform financial management tasks in the organization’s business, financial, and accounting systems. You will prepare funding documents such as requests for contractual procurement, military interdepartmental purchase requests, and Government Support Agreements. You will perform tasks such as, researching and proposing solutions for abnormal transactions, generating regular accounting reports, researching dormant accounts, and coordinating with the comptroller to reconcile accounting errors. You will prepare regular (e.g., weekly and monthly) budget and execution reports in spreadsheet, graphical, and narrative formats. You will prepare program office spend plans, program objective memorandum (POM) submissions, midyear review submits, as well as, Operations and Maintenance and Information Technology related budget documents. You will assist in developing and/or implementing financial process improvements to remediate Integrated Risk Management internal control process recommendations stemming from audit reviews or audit findings.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
