About the Position: This is a permanent position with U.S. Army Cadet Command, 3rd Brigade at the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point located at Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

Duties

Identifies, initiates, plans and executes the SROTC supply program for the host University and affiliates within the Task Force structure. Utilizes expertise in Army and University supply procedures and requirements in order to coordinate the internal activities of the supply section with other sections of the SROTC program. Provides staff assistance in all areas of supply and logistics management for the SROTC Program and affiliates within the Task Force structure. Implements and/or executes changes to regulations using DA Form 4610-R, Tables of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) and Common Tables of Allowance (CTA) affecting ROTC supply. Identifies and assists in the resolution of logistics support issues, and recommends corrective actions to the Professor of Military Science and all other agencies and outside organizations. Coordinates all procurement actions for equipment required for cadets to attend Cadet Summer Training, Program's summer camps and Cadet Troop Leader Training (CTLT). Coordinates all procurement actions for Program activities to include field training exercises (FTX's), labs, staff rides, and daily operations. Manages acquisition of supplies and services by generating Acquisition Management Oversite (AMO) packets in accordance with higher headquarters policy and procedures. Develops performance work statements, obtains price quotes, acquires vendor cost estimates and conducts cost benefit analysis.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position may require 6-12 weeks TDY, approximately 30% of the time in support of USACC Cadet Summer Training, or Cadet Command seminars/classes, and other events as directed.
  • A valid state driver’s license is required.
  • May be required to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver’s License with Hazardous Material Endorsement.
  • Incumbency of this position is limited to persons who have not had a conviction of domestic violence under the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C. 922).
  • Completion of a Unit Armor Course may be required. If selected to perform this duty, the Command will ensure the incumbent completes and maintains the Certification Training.
  • Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019, Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified Critical Under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program, or a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
  • A pre-placement medical examination is required.
  • This position requires lifting of at least 50lbs.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
