You will serve as a OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST in the FORCE READINESS ANALYTICS GROUP of COMMANDER NAVAL AIR PACIFIC.
Duties
You will advance the organization's cost and supply management efforts, enhancing efficiency.
You will conduct comprehensive cost analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
You will develop and implement cost optimization strategies and initiatives.
You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the cost analytics team, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and priorities.
You will develop and present detailed reports, charts, tables, and presentations to summarize research findings and support strategic decisions across the Naval Aviation Enterprise.
You will develop new procedures, techniques, or theoretical frameworks to provide rigorous scientific bases for conclusions.
You will conduct research, trend analysis, and statistical reporting to inform and shape policy recommendations.
Requirements

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Work as a professional operations research analyst leading a team in developing and implementing cost optimization strategies and identifying cost saving opportunities (e.g. operational effectiveness, procurement adjustments, technological enchantments) to improve financial performance impacting Naval operations.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess:
Degree in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
Courses acceptable for qualifying for operations research positions may have been taken in departments other than Operations Research, e.g., Engineering (usually Industrial Engineering), Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Management Science.
