You will serve as a Supply Technician of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK.
Duties
You will recommend/initiate corrective action by researching and developing alternative sources of supply, including open purchase.
You will be responsible for identifying, preparing, and processing requisitions through Supply System or Open Purchase of GFM.
You will evaluate and monitor overall statistics and effectiveness of work operations in relation to material support objectives.
You will adjust priorities to support ship delivery and material readiness condition
You will be responsible for receipt management of Fitting Out Material. Analyzes, investigates, and researches missing, incomplete, or inaccurate documentation, including advanced shipping information, pertaining to assigned material.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-06) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-06 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing technical supply support work which requires the application of a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, and procedures for both standard and non-standard requisitioning of material requirements, including hazardous material requirements; conducting extensive research and investigation to resolve material problem discrepancies ; and determining proper substitutes for specialized or unique items using the Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) or like automated system. I also have experience making purchases involving commercial and specialized items and services using the Government Commercial Purchase Card procedures. Examples of specialized experience include 1) Requisition and expedite urgent, emergent material requirements, including hazardous materials, for the repair and/or overhaul of naval vessels;2)review and monitor reports of defective, non-conforming, damaged or missing material in order to recommend corrective action or alternative source of supply;3)maintain up-to-date status on outstanding requisitions and act on invalid or canceled requisitions determining alternate sources for substituted material;4)make small government purchase card purchases for a wide range of supplies, equipment, services and for items having critical delivery dates to meet job completions.
