You will serve as a EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DIVISION of NAVAL STATION EVERETT.
Duties
You will coordinate emergency management command and control functions to maintain effective operations of an Emergency Operations Center.
You will coordinate the inventory, storage, and maintenance of emergency management equipment.
You will direct an organization's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during emergency management exercises, actual disasters, or incidents.
You will organize staff training in the operation of an Emergency Operation Center (EOC).
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Knowledge and experience with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS); 2) Developing Incident Management Team (IMT) training programs in accordance with FEMA, NIMS and ICS requirements and command policy and regulations; 3) Maintaining emergency operations center and equipment (i.e. HF/VHF/ELMR radios, SAT phone, audio/visual equipment, ordering supplies, implementing training, etc.); 4) Knowledge and experience developing an Incident Action Plan (IAP) in response to an emergency management incident. Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related
