About the Position: Functions as a professional Clinical Neuropsychologist at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center (DDEAMC).
This is an open continuous announcement. We accept applications on an ongoing basis; applicants will be reviewed and referred for selection at periodic cut-off dates.
The first referral cut off will be on Sep 4, 2024. Additional referrals will be pulled every 14 days.

Duties
Develop and implement a Neuropsychology program and provide neuropsychological consultation.
Provide screening and assessment.
Give clinical supervision and training to lower graded psychologists providing psychometric services and neuropsychological assessments for patients with difficult and complex problems.
Communicate clinical conclusions regarding the psychological and behavioral effects of CNS dysfunction to the other medical personnel for use in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Serve as consultant to other staff psychologists, behavioral health specialists, and other medical staff.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- A pre-placement medical examination is required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.
- Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
- This position requires a licensed clinical psychologist who is a graduate of a clinical or counseling doctoral program approved by the American Psychological Association.
- The incumbent must hold a full unrestricted license to practice psychology in any state or territory of the United States or the District of Columbia.
- Incumbent must be eligible for Category 3 privileges (independent practice of psychology) at DDEAMC.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- In accordance with memorandum, DOD civilian personnel hired on or after 1 Jan 97 and with duties involving direct patient contact, are subject to complete a series of three immunizations against Hepatitis.
- All applicants tentatively selected for this position will be required to submit a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.

Basic Requirements for Clinical Psychologist (Neuropsychology):
Degree: Successful completion of a Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements below:
Specialized experience: One year specialized experience which includes developing assessment programs, consulting staff on results of evaluations and provide training to other psychologists. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Licensure Requirement: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently offered by a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
