Requirements

  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. Must be able to obtain and maintain the SECRET security clearance for the position
  • Continued employment in this position is contingent upon satisfactory completion of the mandatory training specifically identified for the position.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the Government Travel Credit Card (GTC) as a condition of employment.
  • Federal employees currently serving in the excepted service (Title 32) must acknowledge they will voluntarily leave the Title 32 excepted service by accepting an offer of employment for this NG Title 5 excepted service position.
  • Position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration and will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.
  • Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
  • Incumbent may be required to work other than normal duty hours to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: HRO MUST process and clear the Department of Defense (DoD), Priority Placement Program (PPP), prior to advertising all internal and external job vacancies and promotion announcements. DUTIES: As a UNIT PROGRAM COORDINATOR (NGT5741600), GS-0303-7, you will serve as the primary point of contact to the squadron commander/director for administrative support programs to include but not limited to task management, cybersecurity liaison (CL), Government Travel Card (GTC) program, Defense Travel System (DTS) administrator, drug demand reduction program, health care program, fitness program, Government Purchase Card (GPC) program, safety program, Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) accounts, security program, supply program, civilian timecard program and unit recognition program. Also serves as liaison with personnel flights on personnel issues and assists in oversight of organization manpower resource requirements. Physical Demands: The work is mostly sedentary. No special physical demands are involved. There may be some walking, standing, bending, or carrying of light items. Working Environment: The employee work in an adequately lighted and ventilated office environment. Observes normal safety precautions. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which indicates the candidate performed progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess at least ONE (1) year at next lower-level GS-06 or the equivalent TWELVE (12) months of specialized experience performing or supervising duties such asassisting in the management of all administrative support program functions; assists in planning for and coordinating the implementation and compliance with higher echelon policy and procedural requirements in the area of administration; determining administrative needs, and assures these needs are met; conducting reviews and briefings on all facets of management functions with recommended courses of action for resolving problems; ensuring unit program compliance with regulations, laws, policies, and squadron commander directives; monitoring military personnel action requests, tracking personnel, manpower, and training transactions; serving as the organizational point of contact and liaison with the personnel flight on military and civilian personnel issues; assisting in planning, administering, and monitoring manpower resource requirements; providing guidance to supervisors relating to military and civilian manpower requirements, organizational structure, authorization and utilization of positions; providing advice and guidance to staff in the organization on administrative, clerical, and procedural requirements.
