About the Position: This position is with the 99th Readiness Division, Office of the Commanding General, located in Ayer, Massachusetts.

Duties

Apply legal, regulatory, and operational program guidance to the management of sexual harassment/assault cases and reports. Provide program direction and guidance to others on sexual harassment/assault reporting procedures, confidentiality, and available resources to ensure their understanding and compliance with regulatory and procedural guidelines. Assess sexual harassment/assault reporting policies to make informed recommendations on policy needs and improvement. Maintain working relationships with military, state, and local action agencies to facilitate immediate response and accurate reporting of sexual assault incidents and meet victim needs. Utilize crisis intervention techniques to provide support and assistance to victims of sexual harassment/assault prevention, response, and victim advocacy. Promote victim service resources that provide care for sexual harassment/assault victims, e.g., DoD Safe Helpline number, installation 24/7 SHARP hotline, and SARC/VA contacts. Coordinate and synchronize care for victims of sexual harassment/assault to ensure their well-being is a priority. Conduct sexual harassment/assault prevention training designed to eliminate incidents of harmful and associated retaliatory behaviors. Monitor overall quality of information entered in databases to ensure sexual harassment data is handled in accordance with established guidelines. Incorporate data from multiple automated sources to prepare data-driven written work products. Analyze sexual harassment/assault data from multiple sources to develop effective prevention strategies. Analyze sexual harassment/assault data to identify trends, draw appropriate and defensible findings, and make recommendations for change. Prepare schedules for completion of work based on an assessment of short- and long-term priorities. Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, considering the difficulty and requirements of the assignment and the capabilities of employees. Develop sound business practices to reduce barriers to team performance. Recommend developmental and training opportunities for employees based on an assessment of their duties and performance.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
  • The selectee must successfully complete the 6-week SHARP Career Course within 6-months of employment. Failure to obtain the DOD certification within the six months may be grounds for removal.
  • May be subject to occasional 24/7 on-call SARC responsibilities.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to operate a motor vehicle should the need arise to operate a government vehicle/motor pool vehicle.
  • The duties of this position may require the incumbent to work evenings, nights, holidays, and/or weekends to include modification in shifts and/or tour of duty.
