This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for USACE for Real Estate Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as Senior Realty Specialist responsible for management and disposal activities, inclusive of commercial concession leases, for all Corps of Engineers real estate in the Vicksburg District (MVK).

Duties

Performs the most complex, controversial and problematic management and disposal activities for all Corps of Engineers Real Estate in the Vicksburg District and assigned region. Serves as the Senior Realty Specialist in the Management and Disposal Branch performing and/or assisting in the development and execution and management of all complex outgrants and disposals for the Real Estate Division Maintains status and progress of work assigned and reassigned to others, and makes day-to-day adjustments in accordance with established priorities. Serves as the Senior Realty Specialist charged with the management and administration of commercial concession leases, state park leases, public park and recreation leases and quasi-public leases within the bounds of the District.

Qualifications

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Prepares out-grants (easements, leases, licenses, consents, and/or permits) and disposal actions; Leads and/or participates in negotiations with agencies concerning the terms and conditions of licenses for the management of the lands; AND Conducts field inspections of out grants. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
