Duties

MAJOR DUTIES:  Responsible for assisting the MCCS Asset Management Department or Property Control area. Responsibilities include receiving, storage, disposal, marking, decaling and issuing of property and fixed assets. Ensures that received property is properly marked, warehoused, and distributed to MCCS activities in a timely manner. Assists with the drafting of purchase requests and processing of department requisitions of supplies, property, and maintenance services. Assists with all MCCS property record updates to include the movement of assets between activities. Assists with maintaining data on all property. Assists with recording, filling, and maintaining data on all property documents. Assists with conducting inventories of MCCS fixed assets and property. Assists with the disposals of MCCS property.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  One year of practical experience is preferred. Knowledge of inventory and warehouse operations preferred. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid forklift operator's license. A valid health card is required in order to possess a valid forklift operator¿s license.  Must possess a valid driver¿s license. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance
