You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the Administrative Department of Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair of SUPSHIP GULF COAST. You will serve as an expert advisor to the Executive Director and is responsible for providing a variety of essential management services to facilitate the direction and operation of the Administrative Department.
Duties
You will perform a variety of administrative, analytical, technical and advisory services for the Command regarding functions of business practices, strategic and tactical planning, management, security, training, budget and all personnel matters.
You will lead, plan and conduct studies/projects.
You will develop detailed plans, goals, and objectives for long-range implementation and program administration.
You will identify and develop ways to resolve problems or cope with issues that affect the accomplishment of principal program goals and objectives of the Command.
You will provide, secure and/or negotiate for the resources and services required to manage and execute the functional responsibilities of the Command.
You will recommend actions to the Executive Director as office spokesperson concerning administrative functions with responsibility to provide information and make decisions with established policies and procedures.
You will understand and actively support the Command's Affirmative/EEO Program; ensuring EEO principles are reflected in all aspects of personnel management.
You will assign work and establish priorities; give advice, counsel and/or instruction to subordinates on both work and administrative matters; interviews and recommends selections of candidates for positions.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band NH-03 (GS-13 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing qualitative and quantitative analysis of programs to assess the effectiveness and efficiency to support department operations.
