Duties

You will overhaul and/or repair and test escape system components, and associated subassemblies, and assist in the overhaul, repair, test, and troubleshooting aircraft ejection seats. You will assist in making aircraft ejection seats ready for flight. You will work from blueprints, manuals, drawings, TEIs, LES's and technical directives of various types of aircrafts and associated systems.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform the following tasks: 1) Troubleshoots, disassemble, repair, modify, overhaul, reassemble, test, install/remove, arms and de-arm aircraft ordnance/armament systems; 2) Troubleshoots, remove, repair and install ejection seat components such as: Inertia Reels, Harness Release Actuators, Time Delay Mechanisms, Drogue Guns, Bell Crank Firing Control Assemblies; 3) Troubleshoots, removes, repairs and installs aircraft armament systems components/parts; 4) Troubleshoots, removes, repairs and installs aircraft egress system components; 5) Interprets blueprints, schematics, work drawings and technical publications of various types of aircraft and associated systems.
