About the Position: Work is performed in an office setting and in other areas of the Medical Group. Work area is well heated, air conditioned and lighted. The incumbent must perform a portion of duties utilizing various types of automated computer terminals, scanners and copier machines. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

Implements the Credentialing and Privileging processes to meet both Air Force and Medical Group standards. Analyzes and validates the medical license, education and training and competency information of providers requesting delineated medical privileges. Manages the Provider’s Credentials File (PCF) in Joint Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (JCCQAS) and the Provider Activity files for all credentialed and privileged health care practitioners. Functions as JCCQAS Database specialist.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
• This position has mandatory seasonal Influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal Influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
• This position requires the incumbent to have Tuberculosis testing.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes implementing a credentialing and privileging program for medical staff; validating the medical license, education and training; AND verifying professional credentials comply with credentialing and privileging policies and regulatory guidance.
