This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the professional Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA Global, Business Operations Division, Security Management Branch (RN11).
Duties
Conducts security studies, analysis and continuous in-depth checks of the adequacy of security measures and personnel compliance with proper procedures to create, maintain and ensure maximum physical security protection of the DISA Global facility.
Establishes, manages and controls an electronic Access Control System as well as a strict key and lock control program for the continual protection, accountability and material readiness of all access control devices in support of protecting mission.
Establishes, manages and controls an electronic Intrusion Detection System for the continual protection, accountability and material readiness of all DISA Global intrusion detection devices in support of protecting DISA Global resources and mission.
Establishes, manages and controls a Closed Circuit Television System for the continual protection, accountability and material readiness of all DISA Global video surveillance devices in support of protecting DISA Global resources and mission.

- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- This is a Mission Essential position.
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) is required.
- This is a drug test position.
- Top Secret /Sensitive Compartmented Information TS/SCI is required.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-11, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position at the GG-11 level qualifying experience is defined as experience applying physical security, antiterrorism, and force protection concepts, guidance, and policies; and working with Intrusion Detection, Access Control, and Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems.
To qualify at the GG-12, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position at the GG-12 level qualifying experience is defined as experience in implementing physical security, anti-terrorism, and force protection policies; evaluating sensitive critical information and secured location security programs; and monitoring security systems to maintain physical security of an agency's assets to include access control, intrusion detection systems, and closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems.

Education
GG-11 Substitution of Education for Experience: Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree may be substituted to meet the qualifying experience requirement. .

There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experienceat the GG-12 grade level
To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. You must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions that are recognized by the
U.S. Department of Education .
