About the Position: Serve as Lead and Senior Synchronization Staff Officer (SSO), Action officer (AO) and principal
representative for Army G-8, Force Development Directorate, Directorate of Materiel, a one-star
directorate.
Duties
Manages assigned systems to ensure manpower, money, and material resources are properly allocated to support timely development, procurement, and fielding of new items and appropriate cascading of replaced items.
Analyzes and identifies potential for joint programs with other Services and allied nations and makes recommendations for programs.
Develops Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and Extended Planning Period (EEP) material/monetary requirements and input for assigned systems.
Serves as a Team Lead ensuring that the organization's strategic plan, mission and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, and work plans.
Requirements
- This position may require temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 10% of the time.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that includes utilizing provided advice and assistance to management on current and multi-year budgetary matters; recommend solutions to budgetary problems within all phases of budget administration; formulating and/or monitoring the execution of long-range detailed budget forecasts and plans to fund substantive programs and projects; analyzing organizational and program requirements to identify potential resource constraints and develop recommended courses of action. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
