This National Guard position is for an SECURITY OFFICER, the Position Description Number is D1277000 and is part of the G2, located in Draper UT with the Utah Army National Guard. The selecting supervisor for this vacancy is Col Bruce Lewis. Priority will be given to all current, onboard employees of the UTANG. MUST possess TOP SECRET security clearance

Duties

MAJOR DUTIES: This is NOT an all-inclusive list. Exercises direct supervisory and personnel management responsibilities. Provides supervisory responsibility for subordinate security force squadron personnel to include Active Guard Reserve (AGR) military personnel, FederalTechnicians, Security Cooperative Agreement (SCA) employees, and Drill Status Guardsman (DSG) to meet allIntegrated Defense, LE and AT/FP requirements for the installation. Sole authority for establishing arming authority for personnel. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Makes recommendations for selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignments inconsideration of skills and qualifications, mission requirements, and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and diversity objectives. Develops, modifies, and/or interprets performance standards. Initiates action to correctperformance or conduct problems. Applies EEO principles andrequirements to all personnel management actions and decisions, and ensures all personnel are treated in a mannerfree of discrimination. Supports the Whistleblower Protection Program by responding constructively to employees who make protected disclosures under 5 U.S.C.2302(b)(8); taking responsible and appropriate actions to resolve any such disclosures; and creating an environmentin which employees feel comfortable making such disclosures. Directs, plans, organizes, and oversees all Integrated Defense (ID) and Law Enforcement (LE) activities within anAir National Guard Wing as the Defense Force Commander (DFC). Reports directly to the Wing Commander forimmediate threat responses and to the Mission Support Group Commander for routine matters. Leverages comprehensive knowledge of securityprograms to serve as principal advisor to senior leaders within and outside the organization on all matters related tothe administration of integrated defense and law enforcement programs. Establishes long-range strategic vision,goals, and objectives for work performed by the organization and all subordinate employees. Exercises expertise in multiple security disciplines to monitor changes in technology,policy, and procedures in order to solve complex problems, make key decisions, and maximize effectiveness of local programs. Develops, implements, and reviews organizational policies, ensuring compliance with DoD,AF, ANG, and State regulations, interpreting, and advising on proper application of methods and procedures.Establishes and maintains relationships with other commanders, senior leaders, staff personnel, law enforcement officials, industry liaisons, subject matter experts, and other agencies in order to maximize information sharing andorganizational effectiveness. Directs, plans, organizes, and oversees all Anti-Terrorism (AT) and Force Protection (FP) activities within an AirNational Guard Wing as the Anti-Terrorism Officer (ATO). Conducts formal Criticality, Vulnerability, and Threat assessments in order to determine risk. Manages the Anti-Terrorism ExecutiveCouncil, Anti-Terrorism Working Group, and Force Protection Working Group to assess and respond to threats. Directs assessments of complex internal and external factors for effect to the organization and assigned missions. Conducts formal and informal assessments to determine criticality of organizational functions, identify vulnerabilities,assess internal and external threats, and calculate associated risk to wing mission(s) and personnel. Develops and directs implementation of risk mitigation measures to achieve acceptable risk levels. Directs the organizational training, exercise, and evaluation schedule to ensure mission readiness and effectiveness. Performs other duties as assigned.

Have the experiences, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures. And have a valid and current TOP secret security clearance. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Have at least 1 year experience at the GS-0080-11 or above? *Must submit SF-50 to validate. OR Have at least 36 months of specialized experience with the following: Skilled with direct supervisory and personnel management responsibilities. Ability in performing technical, administrative, protective and investigative work, and serves as asubject matter expert on law enforcement and security operations. Understanding development, coordination and integration of multiple DoD, NGB, HAF, MAJCOM and local plans, polices, and procedures directly affecting national security assets assigned to the installation or geographically separated units. Comprehensive knowledge of security programs to serve as principal advisor to senior leaders within and outside the organization on all matters related tothe administration of integrated defense and law enforcement programs. Develops, implements, and reviews organizational policies, ensuring compliance with DoD,AF, ANG, and State regulations, interpreting, and advising on proper application of methods and procedures. Directs assessments of complex internal and external factors for effect to the organization and assigned missions. Conducts continual analysis of assigned workforce to ensure personnel reliability, securityclearance, fitness for duty, and adequate coverage of security posts.
