Selectee's first appointment to the Federal Government (Civil Service) is entitled only to the lowest step of the grade selected. Salary range on this vacancy shall not be construed as entitlement to a higher rate of pay. Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work from approximately February through December, you will be in a non-pay status one pay period in January.

Duties

Petrified Forest National Park encompasses an area of 340 square miles with 121 facilities in several geographically separated areas - Painted Desert to the North and Rainbow Forest to the South. The park currently maintains approximately 38 miles of paved road and parking lots, 30 miles of unpaved travel corridors and 5 miles of visitor use trails. The incumbent of this position will perform simple and routine work involved in the maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings and related utilities, requiring the use of a variety of trade practices associated with occupations such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, cement work, painting, and other related trades.
