About the Position: This position is under the control of the Industrial Base Operations & Maintenance Integration Directorate.
Duties
You will serve as a Principal Technical Lead for TACOM Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPC). The position supports the Army Corrosion Prevention and Control program for all TACOM equipment.
Technical lead for the TACOM CPC program which includes policy development and implementation, field training, CPC inspections at the unit level, all reducing overall maintenance costs.
Manages and provides direction to high impact, long term, command level, high visibility initiatives and projects associated with corrosion prevention and control.
Functional areas include Acquisition Logistics and Technology with the purpose to minimize material degradation, improve equipment readiness, and prolong equipment life spans.
Support maintenance and sustainment of TACOM systems and equipment through the life cycle process, assures the accuracy of TACOM CPC requirements forecast and resulting in the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) requirements.
Manage and support the Army Corrosion Prevention and Control program for all TACOM major weapon systems, equipment, and combat support systems.
Develop plans and programs to implement CPC projects and training.
Analyzes reports and data collected through CPC field missions, evaluates CPC shortfalls, and strategically plans future requirements to enhance corrosion maintenance guidance, CPC products.
Represents TACOM CPC program at meetings, conferences and on-site survey visiting making decisions that can adjust overall policy.
Manages, oversees, tracks, and reports the work efforts of a myriad of resources, both individuals and teams, working to improve existing products/programs or developing new products/programs in support of CPC.
Requirements
- This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). This position requires a 3-year tenure agreement. Applicant must sign DD Form 2888 (Critical Acquisition Position Service Agreement) and execute, as a condition of employment, a written tenure agreement.
- This position is Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). Incumbent must meet the requirements for CAP at time of hire. Note: Acquisition Corps membership is no longer required for Critical Acquisition Positions (CAP).
- Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- Must be willing and able to travel at least 50% of the time for business.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

To qualify applicants must possess on one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level GS-13. Specialized experience is defined as: Multifaceted knowledge of Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPC) and implementation and monitoring of CPC programs within TACOM. Experience in developing and briefing Senior Level Leadership (SES/GO level). Experience in analyzing reports and data collected through field missions, evaluates shortfalls, and strategically plan future requirements to enhance CPC guidance, CPC products, improve program internal processes, and to identify and develop TACOM CPC technical.
