You will serve as a INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the MAINTENANCE REPAIR AND OVERHAUL (MRO) ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties
You will provide technical decisions, engineering advice, and information to members or MRO Engineering/Production and Fleet Support Teams (as needed).
You will provide instructions to inspect, calibrate, or measure components at Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE).
You will communicate with other government agencies, contractor personnel, and any other sources as necessary to obtain required information.
You will develop processes, procedures or programs for which no precedence exists.
You will communicate with the customers daily to assess customer needs and help to resolve measurement/manufacturing issues.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of SPECIALIZED experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing equipment calibrations and/or developing equipment calibration procedures; 2) Understanding of concepts, practices, and techniques involved in the development and maintenance of calibration procedures; 3) Analyzing complex calibration procedures and recommend path forward regarding customer requests; 4) Understanding of the US Navy's METCAL program structure and procedures.
