This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision, Risk Management Policy Branch, Emerging Technology Section of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and serves as an advisor on emerging technology policy and examination programs involving emerging technologies, digital assets, or innovation initiatives.

Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. CG-14: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS/CG-13 grade level or above in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as experience conducting the examination and supervision of insured institutions, or participating in intra or interagency analysis of emerging technology topics in the financial services industry or serving as a resource in evolving banking and examination issues related to emerging technology issues. Examples of emerging technology includes crypto assets, artificial intelligence/machine learning, third party digital deposit programs, or third party lending programs.
CG-15: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS/CG-14 grade level or above in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as experience conducting the examination and supervision of insured institutions related to emerging technology, or developing new or revised approaches to the examination and supervision of insured financial institutions. Examples of emerging technology includes crypto assets, artificial intelligence/machine learning, third party digital deposit programs, or third party lending programs. Examples of planning and developing new or revised approaches to the examination and supervision functions include developing or communicating new policies, procedures, approaches, or programs that relate to supervision or activities of insured institutions.
Must be a commissioned Risk examiner.
