This AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR position, is located in an (F-15, F-16, F-22, F-35 and A-10) Air National Guard Aviation Wing, Aircraft Maintenance Group, Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Weapons Element and is part of the CA 163 ATKW.

Duties

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION The primary purpose of the AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR, WS-6652-11, is to supervise workers, either directly or through one or more subordinate leaders, in accomplishing the operations of a distinct organizational unit and to perform associated non-supervisory work. The occupation and non-supervisory grade level which best reflects the nature of the overall work operations supervised is Aircraft Ordnance Systems Mechanic, WG-6652-11.

General Experience: Must possess experience or training which demonstrates the ability to repair malfunctions of ordnance equipment and components; Ability to use sketches, electrical diagrams, technical specifications, and engineering drawings; Experience which demonstrates skill in the use of test equipment to make electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic checks. AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR, WS-6652-11: In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, must have experience demonstrating the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments of lower grade personnel; Experience which required the review of work requirements and establishing priorities to meet deadlines; Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function; Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes; Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.
