About the Position: Serves as a first-line supervisor responsible for implementing Department of Defense (DOD) and Military Entrance Processing Command (MEPCOM) policies and procedures for administering DOD Military Personnel Testing Program. Independently plans and carries out assignments within the scope of applicable regulations, Command Headquarters guidance, Sector guidance, and Military Entrance Processing Station Commander policies.
Duties
Provides managerial and supervisory oversight of the overall testing administration.
Establishes standards and evaluates work of subordinates.
Implements and updates annual training program.
Schedule and administer all enlistment testing.
Serves as a first-line supervisor to resolve complaints.
Ensure 100% security of all accountable testing material.
Ensure that testing facilities meet regulatory guidelines for security and favorable testing environment.
Operate a variety of office automation equipment including computers, fax, scanners, copiers, Personal Digital Assistants (PDA), and shredders.
Monitors that scores and results are recorded accurately.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- Obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- Supervisory Probation Period - One year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:1) Experience reviewing forms / documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with related standards; 2) Experience providing oversight of administrative programs and/or staff; and 3) Experience utilizing computers and automated equipment. his definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Management or Business related fields of study.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
