Duties

Performs a variety of administrative functions in the Pass and Tag Office, to include issuance of identification badges and cards, vehicle registration, visitor authorization checks for installation access. Verifies applications for badges are complete and correct in accordance with the individual's status and determines the validity of identification provided. Responsible for a variety of tasks involving DEERS/RAPIDS. Greets, logs, assists, and directs applicants through the individual Common Access Card process. Cross-references and verifies applications with military history records/legal documents and ensures sponsor/authorized individuals are entitled to authorized benefits. Incumbent adds, updates, terminates, retrieves, and transmits DEERS transactions using prescribed rules and special instructions for entering, transmitting, receiving and correcting data. Process all local and national background checks for the installation as dictated by Homeland Security Presidential Directive–12 (HSPD-12).

About the Position: The Joint Munitions Command provides the Joint Force with ready, reliable, lethal munitions at the speed of war. JMC's mission is to support the production, storage, distribution, and demilitarization of munitions. This position serves as a Security Assistant (Office Automation) located at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, which is a subordinate installation of JMC. This position performs a variety of administrative functions in the Security Division/Pass and Tag Office.
