You will serve as a Gardener in the Facilities Department of NAVAL WAR COLLEGE. Salary Range for WG-6 level: $22.59 - $26.41. Salary Range for WG-8 level: $24.77 - $28.82.

Duties

You will operate weed control equipment, tractor and tractor attachments. You will determine when trees, plants, and shrubs should be pruned and shaped. You will operate equipment in a variety of settings including open fields and around buildings and roadways over both level and rolling terrain. You will control weeds around trees, shrubs, flower beds, sidewalks, curbs, and establishes landscapes. You will select appropriate tools, materials, and techniques to perform custodial and grounds maintenance.

I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
