The Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) is seeking a Collaboration Subject Matter Expert (SME) to be part of a team responsible for providing DTIC's customer product portfolio that includes collaboration, identity and access management, search, and analytics. As part of the team, you will support activities to transform how the Defense scientific and technical community shares information and collaborates.

Duties

Serve as the Collaboration Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for providing a customer product portfolio that includes collaboration, identity and access management, search, and analytics. Support activities to transform how the Defense scientific and technical community shares information and collaborates. Develop the strategy, direction, and execution of DTIC’s collaboration portfolio. Identify technologies based on industry trends, customer needs, and value proposition; oversee Agile delivery of capabilities that convert research and engineering into capabilities that provide America’s Warfighters with a competitive advantage.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade GS-13 within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience with common service offerings within collaboration technologies. Experience analyzing collaboration strategies to select the best approach or practice. Experience analyzing problems developing innovative effective solutions (application of new program methods, approaches, "state of the industry" collaboration practices) to improve efficiency, effectiveness, policies and operations. Experience designing enhancements, predicting how to meet future community collaboration requirements, providing higher leaders and peers sufficient technical cost analysis information (through written documentation oral presentations/discussions) to render informed judgements. Experience with policies, principles, concepts, guidance, procedures, techniques, methodologies pertaining to collaboration related cloud architecture topics. Executing major mission products supporting operational components within a large diverse office, dealing with complex issues, supporting customers who are senior managers of other operating units, taking on tasks and initiating constructive activity. In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of knowledge, skills and abilities, or competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experienceat the GS-14 grade level
