About the Position: You will serve as a Public Affairs Specialist with the U.S. Army Installation Management Command in the Media Relations Branch of the Public Affairs Office located at Fort Carson, CO.

Duties

Review new social media platforms and monitors trends to keep Fort Carson on the forefront of developments in social media. Conduct public affairs functions for the organization, ensuring public affairs activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. Manage, edit, and approve all daily content and interactions on Fort Carson's existing and future social media platforms. Advise on web public information policy formulation and the potential public reaction to proposed programs and activities.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires a SECRET Security Clearance. The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.
  • This position requires occasional TDY travel approximately 10% of the time in order to attend meetings and conduct staff assistance visits.
