GG12 SALARY RANGE: $88,183-$120,512
Duties
You will serve as an Engineering Technician in the Facilities and Logistics Division (N42), Electronics and Facilities Department (N4) at Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic (NCTAMSLANT).
You will support facility project development and planning.
You will prepare and submit in-house, Special Project and Military Construction (MILCON) documentation sufficient to justify funding.
You will prepare engineering request to obtain engineering support.
You will prepare technical specifications ensuring accuracy and complete coverage for in-house projects.
You will ensure that all Environmental compliance, inspections and reporting as required by federal, state and local regulations is complete as required.
You will ensure tanks are inspected at the correct periodicity and provide formal reports.
You will ensure that Underground Storage Tank (UST) compliance inspections are being completed as required by federal regulation.
You will monitor and evaluate NCTAMSLANT HVAC equipment is proper and optimum performance.
You will provide oversight of routine equipment inspections, evaluate all preventive and corrective maintenance actions and provide feedback to correct any system deficiencies.
Requirements

- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by:

-Experience ensuring above-ground storage tanks (AST) and underground storage tanks (UST) inspections are being completed at the correct periodicity.
-Experience providing monthly and annual training compliance reports.
-Experience identifying and correcting specific or unique environmental protection issues.
-Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and sketches.
This position is within the Work Category TECHNICAL AND ADMNISTRATIVE SUPPORT at Work Level SENIOR, Series and Grade GG-0802-11.
GG12:
-Experience identifying all aspects of structural, electrical and mechanical facilities systems such as air conditioning, electrical distribution, emergency power generation, water and sewage treatment and fire protection systems or similar systems.
-Experience applying Hazardous Material (HM) and Hazardous Waste (HW) storage and disposal methods.
-Experience providing cost estimates for facilities and projects from rough descriptions to completed contract estimates.
-Experience utilizing office and engineering software.
