You will serve as a PLANNER & ESTIMATOR (SHEET METAL) in the MRO PRODUCTION DEPT, FRCSE of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
Duties
You will convey technical guidance and direction related to sheet metal repair and maintenance of aircraft structures and surfaces
You will recommend changes to schedules, and sheet metal work sequences to accomplish work within an established timeframe.
You will implement operational, production, program, or project plans to meet sheet metal work objectives.
You will collaborate with other crew members to complete sheet metal assignments as part of a large project.
You will perform simple or routine sheet metal tasks to assist journey level sheet metal mechanics.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
- This position requires rotating shift work.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO PROVIDE PRODUCTION SUPPORT SERVICES: 1) Planning and preparing estimates to support the requirements of the in-house workload, and special projects. 2) Preparing schedules for the planning organization, planning workflow by divisions, branches or other points. 3) Estimating labor and cost for accomplishment repairs for crash damage aircraft, for incorporation of technical directives during programmed depot maintenance, and by field team for accomplishment modifications of aircraft. 4) Utilizing trade experience as a journeyman Sheet Metal Mechanic. 5) Incorporating knowledge of aircraft trades to eliminate barriers and complete assignments involving the examination of aeronautical equipment and components.
