You will serve as a Realty Specialist in the Real Estate Product Line, of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will review and evaluate the utilization of lands and buildings by developing advertising, maintenance and insurance requirements where out-leasing or licensing promotes efficient management of real property. You will prepare plans for disposal of excess land, improvements, and leasehold interests. You will plan for acquisition by conducting reconnaissance for site selection, developing general requirements, and coordinating/controlling administrative actions preliminary to actual acquisition of the real property interest.

Qualifications

To be considered for the GS-12 position: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing real estate principles, practices, markets and values, and applying the techniques, principles and methods applicable to real estate activities; 2) Applying Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing real estate functions within the United States; 3) Applying contracting methods/procedures pertaining to the full scope of real estate transactions, and provide on the spot guidance in complex situations; 4) Performing realty transactions and conveyance and evaluating the effects of various methods of acquisition and disposal upon the uses and value of land.
