The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the principal directorate administrator, performing various administrative, secretarial, and executive officer duties in support of Headquarters United States Space Force Operating Location. Headquarters Space Operations Command (SpOC), United States Space Force (USSF), Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (S2), Peterson SFB, CO.

Duties

Plans and organizes key administrative programs (i.e. GPC program) and activities in the ISR Directorate to ensure customer needs are met and all legal and regulatory requirements are fulfilled. Serves as the head SpOC/ISR workflow manager. Control and implement the Headquarters Task Management Program and provide administrative support and trip planning to the Executive Director, and three GG-15s. Serves as primary SpOC/ISR administrative support coordinator.

  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
  • Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information.
  • Involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.

  • This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Position This is a GG-09 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-09 duties for the "Technical / Administrative Support" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-09 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of an extensive body of rules, procedures, or operations requiring extended training and experience in order to perform a wide variety of interrelated or non-standard procedural assignments and resolve a wide range of problems. Includes knowledge of the Executive Director's duties, goals, priorities, and commitments sufficient to perform essential administrative and clerical duties for the directorate. Knowledge of substantive programs within the directorate required to perform complex and nonroutine assignments. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of a full range of administrative, information technology, government purchase card program, and budgetary principles, concepts, practices, products, services, and methods. Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the management HQs, pertaining to administrative functions, technology, Government Purchase Card, and financial management to provide guidance to multiple commanders and directors. 2. Knowledge of extensive rules, procedures, and operations as applied to the Headquarters Task Management Tool. Knowledge of secretarial and clerical assignments to perform the procedural and administrative work of the office, such as preparing and editing documents, maintaining files/records, making and preparing travel arrangements, composing various reports, inquiries, and technical correspondence. 3. Knowledge of customer support principles sufficient to receive, respond to, and ensure complete resolution of problems. Knowledge of the information technology equipment custodian program and computer security principles sufficient to manage programs and give needed guidance or training to customers and managers to prevent problem recurrences. 4. Knowledge of the policies, principles, concepts, guidance, procedures, techniques, and methodologies pertaining to budget formulation, budget execution, and financial management. 5. Professional knowledge of a wide range of Government Purchase Card regulations, policies, procedures, methods, and techniques, applicable to purchases of unique services, commodities, and/or construction. 6. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; and maintain good working relationships. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
