About the Position: This is a permanent position at Fort Sam Houston. The incumbent will support the administrative and logistical functions of the US Army Installation Command (IMCOM), Central Region, Army Support Activity (ASA), Resource Management Office (RMO).
Duties
Serves as a vehicle SME on a multi-discipline logistics management team
Coordinates the fiscal year operating budget for fleet management support services
Serves as the ASA Fleet Manager, with responsibility for proper control, operation, preventive maintenance, safety, master driver training and utilization of a non-tactical vehicle (NTV) fleet.
Formulates, interprets and disseminates technical guidance based upon regulations, directives, and SOPs, as pertaining to supply operations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) requirement of up to 25% of the time.
- Must possess a valid state drivers license.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: includes (1) Composes supply related-correspondence and reports; (2) Assist with vehicle replacement/turn in program; (3) Monitors vehicles for misuse or excess gas usage; and/or (4) Assists with vehicle preventive maintenance program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
