You will serve as an INSTALLATION TRAINING OFFICER in the COMMANDER, NAVAL INSTALLATIONS COMMAND, OPERATIONS PROGRAM (N3) of NSSM.

Duties

You will develop installation training policies and operating procedures, and administers the installation training program to ensure an efficient and effective program is provided in support of mission readiness. You will serve as the Installation's Training Team Coordinator responsible for coordination and organization of the preparation for and conduct of Installation Training. You will develop the annual Installation Training plan in accordance with published Shore Response Training Plan requirements. You will oversee/track training execution, ensure training is administered and documented in accordance with Navy Warfare Training Systems requirements.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States drivers license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Works within the construct of the military command structure, its missions, programs, and fosters organizational relationships; 2) Assesses the Navy installation training program requirements, identifies deficiencies and develops action plans; 3) Designs, plans, conducts and evaluates installation exercises; and 4) Measures performance levels for training events or exercises. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
Have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.

OR
Combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
